Letters To Our Sons

this letter is a special one. this one goes back to our trip from Washington to California.
Unfortunately mom's behind a letter and playing catch up so bear with me son.

As our time in WA came to a close we embarked on our next adventure to California.
I have to say for someone your age you're sure racking up some serious mileage. You can just go ahead and check off the list the places you've been so far.

this portion of the trip was special because the first leg was hectic and i was out of it so i didn't photograph anything when we left home to head to WA. So after getting settled I was so excited to whip out my camera and just get a few little shots. even though Next time i'll be better prepared. So after the struggle of making it thru security.. because lets just say you're not one to want to walk thru security early in the morning. the ultimate temper tantrum. You normally aren't that kind of little people but we'll blame it on how EARLY it was.

Finally making it thru security without incident we made it to our gate. Still you REALLY could have used a cup of awesomeness. it was a little hike for you and it was apparent you still hadn't gotten your "morning willies" out. Made it to our gate where I could finally put down you and all of the heavy stuff to take a moment to relax and enjoy the sunrise peeking thru.

It was then you noticed the airplanes and the moment I got out my camera to capture a bit of everything. You were so intrigued by them. But I mean what two year old isn't intrigued by the site of what to you is a GINORMOUS "pwane". I loved your curiosity, Your excitement,  You went from little terror to sweet angel baby in a matter of 5 minutes. LOL :)
From then on it was "mommy the plane!" We watched them come and go as we patiently waited for ours to arrive.

You also made some friends. Once you get out of being shy all bets are off. There was this little girl, maybe a year older than you that you saw running around and thought "Hey why don't I try that." "Looks like fun."
OFF YOU WENT. And OFF MOMMY WENT chasing you thru the airport. it was way too early for all of that. but you didn't care. not one bit.
Everyone enjoyed watching the chase unfold and loved listening to your high pitched laugh. Blank stares and down faces quickly went to smiles and giggles. After about 10 min I gave up and had to pull the plug. You weren't happy but little did you know our plane had arrived and it would soon be our turn to get on the plane.

After passengers came off and they started to board for our flight you began to get restless. I assume anxious to get on with our travels.
We boarded and found our seats right near the wing. As always you get the window seat. (Moms secretly jealous lol)
You wouldn't even let me buckle you in. Busy out the window watching the crews below hard at work putting everyone's belongings on the plane.  After telling you for the "umpTEENTh" time you sat down in your seat. not allowing me to buckle you in though. Your "Strict guidelines" lol
As we waited for take off you asked for your games and your "snackies" lol
Of course it's in your nature to flirt. so you befriended ALL of the flight attendants. They couldn't get enough of you. They came by and double checked on us (really you) after going thru all the safety procedures and doing a final check for the other passengers.
You looked out the window as I said a prayer for everyone on the plane.
It was then, that it was time for TAKE OFF!

thank YOU for stopping by to read this months letter! please continue thru the circle and go checkout Courtney's letter (:

In Home Newborn Lifestlye

As if i couldn't shoot this family anymore, i did! L0L
i absolutely ADORE this little bunch!
This was my first time doing an In Home Newborn Lifestyle session. If you don't know, but I cater my "work" towards this genre of photography.
Photographing the real you as you are.
Authentic is what I like to call it.
Preserving all of the NOW because months from now nothing will be the same. Nothing will remain as it is today..
so what better keepsake then to have someone photograph this moment?
I am FOREVER grateful for the opportunity that my friends allowed me.

It's crazy to think how much time has passed since this session.
How baby girl isn't as little as she once was.
How her cry isn't as soft as it used to be.
she's becoming a little people.
she's alert, she has personality, she smiles more than ever,  you two are her everything
and she is EVERYTHING to you.

CHERISH these moments.
ENJOY every second you get to share with her.
Even when its been a long day and you know you didn't get to have your morning cup.
because one day there won't be anymore toys scattered across the floor. Laundry won't be piled. dishes will no longer fill the sink.
little hand prints on your windows will no longer remain.
but what you'll have,
is this.

This moment right here.

"I believe that God sent you into our lives to give us something to fight for, to show us there is love in this world, to give us hope
and to bring us JOY.
ALL the proof in God we need is in YOU.
You are a gift from the heavens."

I hope you two see the joys in parenthood.
some days will be better than others.
some will be down right ugly and you'll be ready to throw in the towel..
but she will smile and you'll forget what all you were fussing about.
Being Mom and Dad is such as awesome adventure so be sure to
capture ALL of it!

you'll blink and before you know it she'll be "all growed up"

i love you three <3
